
Halsey, born September 29, 1994, is an American singer and songwriter. Halsey rose to fame in the early 2010s, posting videos of herself covering songs by popular artists, as well as sharing her own work. By 2014, Halsey broke through and into the music industry. Her 2015 album, ‘Badlands’ debuted to great commercial success, with hits like ‘Ghost,’ ‘New Americana,’ ‘Hold Me Down,’ and more.
In 2017, she debuted her album ‘Hopeless Fountain Kingdom,’ which featured hits like ‘Now Or Never’ and ‘Bad At Love.’ During this time, she also collaborated with The Chainsmokers for the song ‘Closer.’ Her next album, ‘Maniac,’ debuted in 2020, with songs like ‘Without Me,’ ‘Graveyard,’ and ‘You Should Be Sad.’
Along with her music, Halsey is also incredibly politically active. She supports the Black Lives Matter movement and was seen protesting in Los Angeles throughout 2020.
