‘Ballers’ was an HBO show that premiered in 2015. Dwayne Johnson played Spencer Strasmore, a retired NFL star who changes careers to become a financial manager for other players. He eventually becomes owner and general manager of the Kansas City Chiefs. The series was a hit when it first premiered, earning high ratings and positive critic reactions. However, the show slowly faded into the background over the next couple of seasons. In 2019, Dwayne confirmed that the show was ending after season 5. The series finale aired in October 2019. The show became a hit again when it started streaming on Netflix in Aug. 2023.
Dwayne has obviously stayed busy since ‘Ballers’ ended.
